Ginger

Mustard

Mustard on the roof

Our three lush pussy cats were found amongst the debris of the old house as wild, terrified bundles of skin and bone.  Many months of food and patience later, they are plump, playful and affectionate, albeit still shy.

Roosters

Basil and Desmond

Our two 14 year old patriachs, Basil and Desmond were inseparable, never more than a metre apart during the day and roosting together in a tree overnight.  Sadly, Desmond didn't survive Cyclone Vance, in March '99.  He left behind a very distressed and depressed companion.  But Basil is made of stern stuff and after several months has rallied to be once more crowing and scratching in the garden.
The steers are lively and curious and often come and watch what we are doing.  The  back fence is a popular camp spot and the whole herd often spends the night there.  Our breakfast table on the verandah is not a spot for those with delicate nostrils! Cattle
