We have recently returned
to live on John's old family property in the Clayton Bay area, south of
Milang, South Australia, after an absence of 18 years. During this time
we travelled extensively in Japan, China, Central Asia, Russia, Scandinavia,
the United Kingdom, Iceland, North America and participated in a summer
voyage to the Antarctic, before settling to live and work in Melbourne.

| We found
the property in an extremely run-down state and have been busy re-fencing,
buying a tractor, removing weeds and rubbish, establishing a water supply,
planting trees, re-roofing and re-glazing the old limestone farmhouse and
performing other stabilising repairs to prevent it from further disintegration!
We are currently
engaged in the adventure of building a new house in which to live. As we
are doing all the work ourselves, we are learning a lot about the organisation
and various aspects of the building process!

#The Old House

| We are also
discovering about parenting, being "parents" to various 4 and 2 footed
creatures inherited with the property - three cats and two elderly roosters
(sadly one of these has now departed for the Great Beyond, leaving a very
depressed companion). The farm is also home to a "family" of cattle on
agistment - a Murray Grey bull, about 30 black Angus cows and their frisky
white offspring. "Cat", "Chook" and "Cow" are now being added to Liz's
store of foreign languages!

| All this
doesn't leave much time for leisure! However we have a broad range
of interests including sailing, music and astronomy and we are connected
with several local organisations, including:

| From our "past lives"
we bring with us, for John, experience in Electronics, Computing and Audio
Visuals and for Liz, various creative skills, including photography, hand
colouring of photographs, photo-montage art, coloured pencil drawing, glassware
(both kiln formed and leadlight) and original hand crafted silver jewellery.
