The New House
|
|

We are building
a steel framed kit house. The frames and windows come
prefabricated and the roof sheeting, guttering, wall materials,
insulation and linings are supplied. We are responsible for
building approvals, foundations, electrical wiring, plumbing and
drainage.

The
frames and roof trusses are first assembled with "Tek" screws
and held onto the concrete slab foundation with "Titacon"
clips and pins. The roof comes next, followed by the plumbing, windows,
bricks, electricals, linings, bathroom and
kitchen fittings and the tiling....

Update December 2000:We have reached the "Gyprock", or plaster board lining stage.
The end is in sight. More pictures will be added soon!

Update December 2001: This takes longer than expected, especially as lots of other stuff like art happens! The lining is almost complete, with two rooms completely finished. All the tanks are in and the plumbing almost complete. The roof no longer leaks in storms ;-) and Mum's piano has taken up residence.
